Hey Pilgrim's - looks like you've figured out your not in Kansas (Virginia) anymore !!! The picture's are "way cool" and much fun to get the posted updates. I must admit, I was envious of everyone swimming in the lake; it looked like great fun. Take care of each other and we'll look forward to more updates. Peace and Godspeed. Phil Hopkins
Looks like another great day. Also good to see a picture of Pastor. So, we have two groups of walkers. Does getting to where you want to go sooner come with dividends?
I love those road markers. It is good to know that you all won't get lost. It appears that you have some time for some fun, which is the way it ought to be. Looking at all those wonderful pictures, I must admit that it is hard not to be at least a bit jealous. Tomorrow is probably your toughest day but I am sure that all of you will do great. God's Blessings for all you do.
We need more photos of Kathleen! Thanks for allowing us to travel alongside you. We are thinking of you as you journey and giving thanks that the pilgrimage is finally becoming a reality. Tell Mandrew that he can regale us with the St. Mark version of The Canterbury Tales at our SS IHOP fests this fall. Blessings to you all from the mighty Haskin Clan :-)
Los photos son muy bonitos. Hope that you are all having a wonderful time in sunny Spain. It is so nice to be able to come along on the blog. Anne Baumgartner
The Pilgrim is off to Ecuador again, leaving on October 25, 2010 and returning on October 31. This trip will be a little different from the one last year. First, St. Mark's Vicar, Ben Kifer will be going on this journey. St. Mark has made a commitment to send its interns to see/participate in our ministry in Ecuador. Second, we will travel in-country to Santo Domingo to see the water well St. Mark paid to construct and to meet some of the people. Third, we will get to participate in Confirmations and Baptisms on October 30, on the eve of Reformation Day. A good sign of how far the church has traveled over the past 493 years.
For the next installment of the St. Mark Pilgrim, the Pilgrim is off to Ecuador to visit with the children and the people who work with them. This excursion will be from October 26-31, 2009. Again, you are invited to join in the journey.
On June 20, 2009, 14 pilgrims set out from St. Mark in Yorktown, Virginia to travel El Camino de Santiago (the way of St. James) in Compostela (the field of stars) Spain. We will walk 115 km (71.5 miles) and arrive at our destination on June 26. We invite you to join us on our pilgrimage.
