Getting Ready for the Last Push

As you can see, we´re almost ready for the next to last push. You can´t tell yet, but it will be raining in about 10 minutes. In spite of that, some of us are managing to make friends wherever we go (and wherever we can find them!).
The paper you see is a pilgrim´s passport. One has to collect at least two stamps every day at places along the trail to prove that you have walked the appropriate amount of mileage (kilometerage?).
There are only 12 km left to the shrine of St. James. Our guide keeps pushing me to bring another group next year - next year is a particularly holy year. I tell her we need to finish this trip first!
At this point, most of us think we´ll be doing laps on the plane on the way home - it will hurt too much to sit.
Peace from the almost finished Pilgrims!

  2. What's a good pilgrimage without a little discomfort and rain (pain and suffering, you live for those moments)?!!? I'll say a little prayer for you while I suffer in my lazyboy and struggle with my AC thermostat. You'll be happy to know that I'm watching extra TV to make up for all you are missing while away. Hurry back and save me from this torture; thank God you'll only be gone a week!!! I will survive the end is in sight.

  3. A few minutes of rain to cool you off? Not a bad thing, and then a beautiful day! How lucky can you get.

Great pictures again. The passport is most interesting I cannot wait to actually see one.

All the best for tomorrow, I am sure it will be a most wonderful ending to an incredible trip.
Say a little prayer for the rest of us when you get to the Cathedral. I assume nobody will buy any indulgencies.
